Morgandi Lashley : Hello, fellow OKC moms! I was born and raised in the great state of Oklahoma, and have had the pleasure of spending the majority of my life in the metro area. After finishing college, I lived in Chicago for four years and Cleveland for one year. During that time, when I wasn’t shoveling snow, I was discovering my love for running and fitness. After life in the Midwest, I moved back to the OKC area with my three kids (Chloe-4, Stella-3, Emmett-9 months). I work as a personal fitness trainer and I am particularly passionate about helping women, especially moms, improve their overall fitness and confidence level. I look forward to sharing my adventures in fitness and motherhood with you.
Angie Ricketts : Angie and her husband, John, live in Edmond with their three little blessings: Addyson (6/2008), Haley (11/2009) and Paige (9/2012). Angie received her Bachelors in Marketing and her Masters in Management both from Oklahoma Christian University. As each child came along, Angie has adjusted her career to accommodate the active life of her daughters. She now works as a Marketing and Development Coordinator for Lilyfield Christian Adoption and Foster Care. When not working, she enjoys chauffeuring her kiddos around and watching the latest chick flick with her husband – much to his dismay. When time permits she enjoys a good pinterest project and reading a good novel.
Courtney Schmidt : Hi! My name is Courtney and I am a new mom…I became a mother to 3 children in less than 30 days. Sounds crazy, right?! It has been crazy…but we are surviving! Ha! My husband Gabriel and I have been married for over 9 years and we are in the process of adopting a sibling set through the Oklahoma State Department of Human Services. Those two kiddos are aged 3 and 2. We are also fostering their infant sister, whom we hope to adopt also.
I spent the majority of my life growing up in “The Little Town on the Border” of Seneca, Missouri…which literally sits on the Missouri/Oklahoma border. I met my husband at a church in that town, and though we originally pursued college at our respective choices (my happened to be in Tennessee), I ended up transferring a as a senior to get married and finish my bachelors degree in Oklahoma. We both decided to pursue graduate school, and my Masters degree is in Early Childhood Education. I have worked for a public school, a child care center, and am now staying home and trying to keep my head on straight (and the dishes done) while trying to figure out how life is supposed to be with 3 young children.
And ultimately, all you need to know about me is that I have been blessed in my life far beyond what I deserve, or could have even imagined. I give all the praise to God. (Now, if He could just send me a housekeeper…)
Jenna Vasquez : Hi! I am Jennifer, but everyone calls me Jenna. I have the absolute two cutest boys in my life, my husband and son! Noah was born November 2009, and from that day on has taught me so much about myself. He is an answer to our prayers and a daily reminder of God’s grace! I love being a mom of a boy. I love the TBall games. I love the bow ties. I love the spiked hair. I love the funny quotes. I love the way he loves me with such an innocent heart.
I consider myself a stay at home mom that cannot stay at home! I love to get out and explore our wonderful city with my family. Other side notes that make me who I am are the outdoors, swimming, working out, family, friends, church, talking really fast, dates with my husband, cuddling with my son, and garage sales! I hope the readers will understand my humor and find excitement through my posts. I am excited for what the future holds, and I am excited to be apart of yours!
