Tips on Getting Your Home SOLD {The Red Team}!

So how do you do it, you ask? For starters, you need to make your home pristine. For the interior, it needs to be sparkling clean, closet and cabinets organized, clutter free and brightly lit. The exterior needs a minimum of new mulch and some flowers and take some time to touch up the paint with a neutral color. As a seller, you want to present your home with the best light possible so it shines above the competition or think of it in terms of wanting to win the “House Beauty Contest”. Next, when you go to buy or sell a home in the Oklahoma City or Edmond metro area, you need to hire an exceptional Realtor® or The RED Team to help you with the selling process! Whichever Realtor® you choose will need to have all of these:

  • Good negotiation skills
  • Willing to find a buyer for your current home or a home for you to buy
  • Work full time in the real estate industry
  • Loves marketing (or at least have marketing skills)
  • Active in the social media realm
  • Has a good website to advertise your home.

Don’t forget that the list price of the home is one of the biggest selling factors. Pricing your home according to the Comparative Market Analysis for your neighborhood is optimal. Do not price your home for what money you need to pay off a creditor or for what you need for your down payment on your next house. Buyers will only pay what the house is worth. Listen to the market! The National Association of Realtors® says, “that your home is priced too high if it hasn’t sold within two weeks and/or it has not shown 7 times”. Price it for a fair value up front, not too high, and most of the time in the OKC metro, you should not have a problem selling your home in a timely manner!
