6 Reasons I Don’t Feel Guilty on Pizza Night

We have partnered with Papa John's Pizza to bring you information about quality ingredients for your family. But don't miss out on a FABULOUS deal at the end, 50% off your ENTIRE order until July 31, 2017! All opinions in this post are 100% my own.

Mom life is a busy life.

Can I get a witness? I mean, between changing diapers and scheduling doctor’s appointments and remembering to send your kid to school with pants on… there’s not much time for anything else.

Especially dinner.

As a mom who works full-time outside of the home, I have approximately zero minutes to prepare a meal—let alone one my child actually likes. And on especially crazy days when I’m in my pajamas 30 seconds after entering the front door, I want nothing more than for someone to arrive on my doorstep with a hot meal large enough to feed my growing family.

That’s why I’m about to say something scandalous:

In my home, we don’t feel guilty on pizza night.

In fact, here are six reasons why I don’t hesitate to decorate my table with Papa John’s boxes.

Convenience

Just the other day, we had a perfect night planned. Vegetable-laden dinner. Family movie. Cuddles. Pajamas. But then, my husband arrived home later than normal with our screaming toddler in tow. And, I got a last-minute that call my foster son was going home that night and I needed to collect all of his things. So. Much. At. Once. Papa John’s was there when no one else was.

Ease

Online ordering isn’t new, but I’m always pleasantly surprised when I happen across a system that takes it one step above the norm. When you order from PapaJohns.com, the checkout process is easy as (pizza) pie, and you can track the process of your order in real-time. Not to mention, you have the option to add a tip at checkout. Goodbye awkward guilt that comes after ordering pizza and realizing I have no cash in the house.

Ingredients

How can you feel guilty when Papa John’s core ingredients have no MSG, meat fillers, BHA, BHT, cellulose, or partially hydrogenated oils? I don’t hesitate to serve up a meal featuring “never-frozen original dough, signature pizza sauce made with vine-ripened tomatoes and real cheese made from mozzarella.” Heck, I rarely have time to make my own meal that nutritiously responsible.

Options

My son is allergic to dairy, but we don’t let that ruin our pizza game. Papa John’s chicken poppers are a delicious cheese-free alternative that can be delivered with our pizza. The kid eats chicken with a side of fruit I happened to find in the fridge. And, mom and dad eat pizza with fruit on top. Yes. Pineapple on pizza is a thing.

Price

For $25 (exactly $25, on the dot, including tax, delivery fee, and tip), we were able to purchase a large pizza, 10-piece chicken poppers, and a pan of brownies my husband is still daydreaming about. This meal fed my family for two nights. When you break that down, it’s a $4 per person dinner solution. My wallet says thank you, Papa John.

More time

When I’m not making dinner after an already long, stressful day, I get to spend more time with my family. And when I sit down at the table feeling relaxed and guilt-free, everyone is happy. It’s the kind of family time we all deserve.

So, if you’re a mom who often finds herself in a dinner pinch, time crunch, and stressful night all at once… call Papa. He’ll be at your door with better ingredients, better pizza. And, you won’t even have to do the dishes.
