Our 3rd Annual Bloom event was hosted at The Montellano Event Center on Thursday, April 19th. With over 100 Oklahoma mamas and guests in attendance, it was our most popular Bloom event to date! We lucked out and had perfect spring weather for the event! As guests arrived to the gorgeous Montellano, they were welcomed by this adorable Sign Gypsies sign!
Just inside, mamas were welcomed by two of our very own OKCMB Contributors, both expecting their own (second) little bundles of joy! Mamas received their drink tickets, swag bags, and raffle tickets at the door. The swag bags this year did not disappoint! Over 30 local and national brands were so excited to be included in the swag bag this year, and mamas are sure to find a new favorite snack, treat, service, or product! We were also proud to offer a VIP swag bag option this year to 25 lucky mamas who snagged a ticket that included a pair of Kendra Scott earrings, a Keep It Local card, a Re-Play cup, and a roll-on from The Spunky Cauldron!

Mamas were invited to visit with our presenting experts Thai-An Truong and OKC Metro Birth Professionals | Goldfish Swim School | Wilson Family Chiropractic in the main ballroom while checking out the TWO giveaway tables and deciding how they wished to “spend” their raffle tickets! During the evening, we were honored to have incredibly valuable presentations from Thai-An Truong and Dr. Joshua Wilson as well as a Safety Panel sponsored by Goldfish Swim School. Our mamas learned about postpartum depression and anxiety, stress, and safety and left with information that applies to all phases of motherhood.
Throughout the evening, guests were invited to delight in a cocktail or mocktail from The Montellano’s bar. Lindsey whipped up some wonderful refreshments for us! And it didn’t take long for you to get a whiff of the delicious smell of fried deviled eggs coming from the vendor area. Yes, fried. Deviled. Eggs. The Lokal Yukon was dishing these out alongside their bison meatballs for a fun appetizer! For a lighter option, guests visited the Cravings Bar sponsored by The Goddard School & Natural Grocers with strawberries and chocolate, pickles and chips, cheese and crackers, and Wahoo Cookies. As if that wasn’t enough, we had a tower of cupcakes from Buttersweet Cupcakes with a sweet treat for every taste!
Once mamas got a sampling of the yummies, they were invited to visit our incredible table vendors! At the end of the evening, when all of the guests joined together in the ballroom, we held a moment of silence in honor of our Featured Charity, The Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum. Through donations from our guests, we are proud to announce that we raised over $400 for the Museum Preservation Fund!
