Moms, Meet Your New Favorite Shoes

Oklahoma City Moms Blog is excited to partner with Mox Shoes through this sponsored post. We have fallen head over heels for these cute and comfy shoes, and we just know you will love them too!

mox shoesLet’s face it. When it comes to sprucing up our everyday attire, shoes are where it’s at.

I’ve always had a thing for shoes. My closet floor is littered with ankle boots, high tops, Converse… you name it. But as a working mom, there aren’t too many of those comfortable pairs I can wear to the office.

Enter: Mox Shoes.

According to their website:

“Mox Shoes are a comfortable, stylish rubber ballet flat; a great alternative to flip-flops.”

Mox. Honey. You had me at flip-flops.

Though, I have to admit, I was a bit thrown by the fact that these shoes are made out of rubber. How can rubber be comfortable? I simply can’t imagine slipping on a pair of tires and taking them for a spin (no pun intended).

Luckily, I had the opportunity to try a pair for myself. The fine folks at Mox sent me the coral beauties, and friends…rubber shoes are everything.

In fact, Mox shoes are a busy mom’s dream come true.

As someone who works outside of the home, I need shoes that will feel comfortable from the moment I hit the gas pedal to the second I lay my son down to sleep. As I’m sure you know – such miracle shoes are hard to find.

Before Mox, if I wanted that kind of comfort, I’d have to do one of two unsavory things:

  • Break the rules and wear flip-flops under my desk
  • Sacrifice style for comfort, which who wants to do that?

With Mox, my feet didn’t hurt after a long day at work. In fact, I actually wanted to go run after my toddler at the park.

There were times when I forgot I was wearing shoes and went into a slight panic before looking down and catching sight of these pink beauties. They’re so comfortable, it’s hard to remember they’re even on.

After the park, I was still comfortable enough to knock something off the chore list. My garden thanks you, Mox.

And here’s something cool: when I spilled potting on soil on these shoes, they were SO easy to clean. Simply spray them off, and done.

There are numerous reasons I love Mox shoes. They’re comfortable, lightweight, and versatile.

With basket weave details, they are stylish shoes that catch lots of attention. Do you remember those shoes from the 80s and 90s – Jellies? I can’t count how many people ask if I am rocking some Jellies. As a girl who still fondly remembers her Jellies (and the day she left them under the table at Red Lobster and never saw them again), I can live out my 90s fantasies AND catch compliments.

They’re available in 8 colors, from your staples like black and platinum to daring shades of grape and raspberry. And, they come packaged in a biodegradable string bag you can repurpose to your heart’s delight.

While I love all of the qualities of these shoes, the thing I admire most is the story behind them. Mox was launched in 2011 by a woman who wanted to create shoes with all-day comfort and style. They were first sold in Australia before being brought to the U.S., which makes you feel sort of like a world-traveler when you slip them on, mate.

This is not a drill. I actually wore my Mox shoes while purchasing more – they’re that comfortable. And here’s the best part – if you want to grab a pair yourself (which you won’t regret), Mox has provided a code for OKCMB readers!
