Mom of the Month: Gabby Love {March 2019}

We love our mom of the month series! Do you know a special mom in our community who deserves some special recognition? Fill out the form and nominate a mom you know here! Thank you to True Sky Credit Union for partnering with us to provide a special gift to our Mom of the Month!

We are excited to introduce our March 2019 Mom of the Month, Gabby Love!

Gabby was nominated by her sister, Lacey Hamilton. Here’s what Lacey had to say about her sister!

Gabby is a mother of 5 who does it all and I don’t know how! She homeschools, leads the meal program at her church, organizes volunteer appreciation events. That’s all in addition to what it takes to keep a household running.

She is my sister and such an amazing aunt to my kids. She encourages and takes opportunities to build relationships between cousins and family members. She is the first one to bring a casserole in a time of need, medicine when someone is sick in the middle of the night, or offer a word of encouragement when you feel like you’re at your breaking point.

Nobody else is more deserving of being recognized!

Let’s get to know Gabby!

How many children do you have and what are their ages?

We have 5 blessings here on earth, ages 4 (boy), 9 (girl), 12 (girl), 14 (boy), 20 (girl), and 2 babies in heaven with Jesus.

What is your favorite thing about being a mom?

My absolute favorite thing about being a mom is when we all laugh until our sides hurt, and I see them smile out of pure joy. OK, I have a few more than just one! I also love the outpouring and unconditional love they give when they are little, listening to their prayers, scratching their backs, cuddling, cooking with them, and late night chats when they are tweens and teens.

What has been the most challenging thing about being a mom?

The most challenging thing about being a mom, is learning not to take their “growing times” (misbehavior) personally. I’ve been a mother for over 20 years, and I’m still working on this. Seeing my own faults come out of their hearts is tough. In all of the many, many, many, tough times of mothering, I have learned to lean on my Lord Jesus Christ for strength. I fail in so many areas, but in my weakness He is made strong. I have to seek Him daily for wisdom.

What could you not survive without as a mom?

My Bible and worship music, hands down!

What is your proudest mom moment?

When my son was 11 years old, he helped lead the salvation prayer with over 20 adults in one weekend during an outreach. And watching my children be the hands and feet of Jesus as they serve others.

Gabby, we recognize you as one amazing mama! We hope you enjoy your gift card from True Sky Credit Union! Congrats on being our March Mom of the Month!
