Meet Kelly

Kelly is, first and foremost, a wife to her husband, John and a momma to her one year old daughter, Genevieve.  She’s an Edmond native, but left the state to get a degree in journalism from Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!) and work in Dallas for a few years.  She moved back “home” to Oklahoma after meeting her husband and is now so thrilled to be raising her daughter right where she grew up!  When she’s not working or playing with her daughter, Kelly loves to curl up with a good book, spend time with friends, and blog at www.theokmomma.com.

1. What is the most random thing in your purse right now?
One of my daughter’s shoes. That’s right, just one. Don’t ask me where the other one is because the answer to that would be, “I don’t have the slightest idea.”

2. Where would you vacation if it could be anywhere in the world?
Florence, Italy.  I love Italy and my husband has never been.  We are dying to take a trip there together!

3. Favorite thing to do with children in the OKC Metro?
We go to Kindermusik on Saturday mornings and LOVE it.  We also love the zoo, and we can’t wait to check out the new splash pad in Edmond this summer!

4. Favorite thing to do withOUT children in the OKC Metro
We love to eat! Our favorite spots are Cheevers and Paseo Grill.  The quinoa salad at Cheevers is the dish I crave the most.  We also love going to Thunder games when we can!

Hayley has been blessed with the opportunity to be a stay at home mom, which is something she is extremely grateful for. She is an Okie, born and raised and has her bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. She is a cloth diapering, baby food making, semi-crunchy mama who enjoys spending time with family and friends, drinking coffee, going to Target, cooking and crafting.

Haha, what purse?! As for my diaper bag, I’d have to say my daughters beaded necklace and sons toy corvette. It’s the little things!

2. Where would you vacation if it could be anywhere in the world?
Oh the list is endless but if I had to choose one place it would very likely be Italy!

3. Favorite thing to do with children in the OKC Metro?
The zoo! We love spending time outside when the weather allows and what better place to enjoy a variety of nature you can’t always enjoy elsewhere?

4. Favorite thing to do withOUT children in the OKC Metro?
We don’t get much time without our little ones but we love to attend Thunder games when possible. I’m no basketball expert but the atmosphere is so fun!  I also enjoy walking around downtown, taking in the city life since we’re from a small town. As for something I enjoy doing with my girlfriends, Affair of the Heart when it’s in town, there’s so much creativity and talent!

Welcome, ladies!
