We have loved getting to introduce you to our newest team members this week! Last, but certainly not least, meet Lacy, Lauren & Amie!
And be sure to get know the rest of our team here!
Lacey
I am originally from northeast Oklahoma. I attended college at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. After graduating I moved to the Tulsa area for a short time. I couldn’t stay away though. I have been back in Oklahoma City for a good 9 years now. I am a working wife and mom to my 2 year old daughter, 4 year old son, and our 2 mini dachshunds. We try to live simply and happily. Our home is full of playing, laughing, cooking, eating, swimming, praying, gardening, reading, napping, and hugging puppies.
Lauren
I just cleaned out my “backpack” (the thing you carry when you can’t keep track of a purse and a kid bag) but about a month ago there was a TV remote in there! My son was definitely the perpetrator of that odd deed.
2. Who is your favorite TV mom?
So I know it’s crazy but Claire Huxtable. Seriously. She was gorgeous, classy, calm, ambitious, but always full of wisdom and intuition. Her smile was just so BENEVOLENT. I always felt safe when she walked into the room/tv/scene.
Art. Anything art. Painting. Clay. My little girl lives and breathes artistic creation and so we traipse everywhere looking for adventures and expressive outlets for her.
I am passionate about women telling our stories to each other. I believe that telling our stories, good and bad, is the antidote to sanctimonious and judgmental attitudes. All women need the healing of being able to hear and be heard. In my lifetime I hope to create many “circles” of women who will do just this both through my writing and in my professional endeavors as a birthworker.

Amie
Amie, who is originally from Denver, has lived in seven states and three countries. She currently calls Edmond home and is a proud mom of 2 young boys and a proud military wife. After receiving her B.A. in English, Amie worked in many different fields trying to find her niche. As it turns out, being a stay-at-home mom is the best job she never knew she wanted. She is passionate about fitness, healthy living, and music. She finds joy in helping other moms connect in community, and strongly believes we were not meant to journey though motherhood alone. Amie still enjoys traveling and is looking forward to when her boys are older so she can show them the world.
Burn Cream. I burned myself pretty badly while working in a cafe in college and had to work the rest of my shift in pain with a nasty burn. I’ve carried burn cream in my purse ever since!
I love reading the introductions for new contributors!
