Lice-ology: The (not so) Dirty Little Secret

Got Lice-Disclaimer:  This is a sponsored post for Lice-ology.  However, all opinions are 100% our own and we stand by Lice-ology and all that we endorse.

I was in 4th grade and I remember vividly my teacher announcing to the class “Someone in our class has lice. So we need to be careful not to share hats or hoodies over the next week or so.” My friends at recess gathered round and said “I wonder who it could be? That’s sooo gross!” My cheeks turned red and I chimed in “Yeah, that’s so disgusting,” not wanting to let them know it was in fact ME that had lice! I was so embarrassed!

However nasty it sounds, the stigma surrounding lice just isn’t true. People of all demographics can get lice. It’s a very common thing, but it still strikes fear and dread in the hearts of all who hear that “L” word.

My mother tried all sorts of smelly home remedies and drug store treatments. I remember the long nightly combing sessions. Maybe you can relate. Maybe you’ve gotten that email or letter from your child’s teacher and you’ve panicked. Or maybe you’ve noticed the scratching and itchy head symptoms already. What can I do? Who do I call?

Enter Lice-ology. Frances Dickerson and her team are the premiere expert salon in the state of Oklahoma with years of experience under their belt equipped to help you through this situation. They are fully trained to get rid of lice and their eggs so you don’t have to figure out if you are using the right products or combing enough times! They even offer a guarantee of their services up to a certain time period and you can’t beat that!

The wall of thank you’s from satisfied customers!

Many schools and doctors reference their company by name. In fact, many educational institutions require a notice from the health department before a child can return to school after lice, but with a notice that they’ve been to Liceology, no health dept. visit is necessary!

Not only do they sell their services to de-louse and nit pick, but they also sell top of the line products that are time tested to work. They make their own preventative sprays in house for children and furniture that are non-toxic and all natural.

They also sell shampoos and other products that are proven to be safely effective. I asked Frances what I should do in the event someone close to my child has lice or I suspect that she has it already. She said that most parents wait until after 3 or 4 home treatments before calling her, but she HIGHLY recommends calling them at the first sign. Don’t waste your time or money at the drug store! The team at Liceology know what to look for, they know how to get those eggs out, they know how to use that fine tooth comb, and she says it is very very rare that her clients ever need a repeat treatment. When they do, she says, it’s because they didn’t follow the at home after care measures.

Their salon is open by appointment at 820 NE 63rd. Call them today! 405-418-6487 (NITS)

An hourly rate applies for their services and a typical visit for a long haired girl is about one hour, where a short haired boy’s treatment is usually only about 30 minutes. They are open at hours to suit your convenience, but please call first to verify an appointment – even if it’s just to buy products.

So don’t panic at first sign of a lice outbreak. Before you head to the pharmacy or google home remedies give the experts at Liceology a call. Whether it’s preventative care you need or a full treatment, don’t be too embarrassed to give them a call and ask for help!
