Hot Mamas Run {Giveaway!}

As a runner, I absolutely love 5K’s. They are enough of a race to feel like I’ve accomplished something, but not such a distance I feel like I need to devote countless hours to training.  As a woman, I’m ecstatic that this September 28th, Oklahoma’s FIRST WOMEN’S ONLY 5K will be returning for it’s third year!

The Hot Mama’s Run is not just for moms, but for all women – it’s a mindset, not a requirement. This fun and empowering race is a great way to connect with friends, co-workers, family members, workout buddies or just enjoy a morning run at Mitch park!

While the 5K is a timed course (USATF Sanctioned), the event also offers a noncompetitive one mile Baby Parade where you can push a stroller, pull a wagon or simply carry your baby.  The baby parade also offers great prizes for fun costumes and decor. Check out these photos from previous years to size up the competition! There are some really creative Hot Mamas out there!

If your kiddos are a little old to be pushed, pulled or carried, the Hot Mamas Run has added something just for you this year.  New in 2014, boys and girls up to age 12 can join their mama for a Fun Run held in conjunction with the Baby Parade.

Are you ready to sign up?  Good!  But first, enter to win a free registration for you and one running buddy!  That’s right, one lucky winner will win FREE registration for herself AND a friend!  Better yet, have your friend enter to win too!  The winner will be announced next week! Go ahead and enter,  I’ll wait.  Done? Good. Now check out the Hot Mamas on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so you don’t miss a thing leading up to September 28.

No need to worry – if you don’t win you can still register here.  The proceeds from this event go to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s Food for Kids Program and the CARE Center so it’s a double win!

I’ll see you Hot Mamas at the starting line!
