National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum
Western Explorers Summer Camp, June 19 – July 28, offers opportunities to learn, play, and create at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Led by experienced teachers, each week-long, small-group session features age-appropriate themes, crafts, games, art projects, snacks, and stories. Campers explore the Museum’s collections, exhibitions, gardens, and trails, which inspires their imaginations and provides the foundation for fun-filled, creative self-expression. All supplies are included in the children’s sessions. Find engaging daytime and evening activities just for grown-ups too! Half-day and full-day sessions offered every week, with extended before and after camp options.
Oklahoma City Museum of Art
OKCMOA Summer Art Campers are encouraged to think like artists! Daily gallery visits filled with games and conversation, art making, and more will bring out creativity in all ages. Two thematic sessions are available. All campers participate in a Friday afternoon art show.
In addition to art-making and exploring the galleries, campers will have the opportunity to participate in a staff-guided tour, get the wiggles out in a fun yoga or karate session, and make a trip to the Myriad Botanical Gardens and Crystal Bridge!
The Museum provides instruction, extracurricular activities, and art materials. You provide a non-perishable sack lunch, drink, and two snacks each day.
Students must meet the minimum age requirements for each camp to participate.
