4 Great Places to Find Made in Oklahoma Gifts

I am a proud Oklahoman. I love walking around Downtown, popping into shops on Campus Corner in Norman, and adore the quaint little towns scattered throughout our great state. I’m proud of this place and I love supporting it through buying local. I’ve rounded up some shops that carry one-of-kind items perfect for the Okie on your shopping list!

1. The Tilted Tulip

This woman-owned and operated boutique (go girls!) was voted Best Boutique in Moore Monthly’s 2017 Best of Moore and OKC contest–and for good reason! The Tilted Tulip is full of trendy, quirky, and one-of-a-kind items to breathe new life into your wardrobe or home! The boutique offers several Made in Oklahoma pieces including handmade leather jewelry by local jewelry designer Kelley Williams. It is nestled in the Stonebriar Shopping Center right next to the Blue Bean Coffee Company off of SW 134th and Western Avenue.

2. DNA Galleries

There are many places in the Plaza District that offer locally made products, but this store stands out! DNA Galleries showcases local art, apparel, and accessories made from folks right here in Oklahoma City! Anytime I’m in the area, I love to pop in and see what’s new! There is always a plethora of eccentric, fashionable, and nostalgic fare for everyone’s taste!

3. Oklahoma Shirt Company

As a mom, I practically live in t-shirts. I’d venture to say that a good portion of them have come from the Oklahoma Shirt Company! Not only do they have a brick and mortar store, but they also frequent The State Fair of Oklahoma, Affair of the Heart, and various festivals around the state (I saw them at the Rush Springs Watermelon Festival this summer). The Oklahoma Shirt Company loves to feature shirts about our great state and even offers a shirt of the month club! Just $10 a month and an awesome Oklahoma-inspired tee is delivered right to your door! And bonus: if you want to gift a shirt to someone, just let them know and they’ll send it to the lucky recipient!

4. Scissortail Gifts

Scissortail Gifts is nirvana for the Made in Oklahoma shopper! They have MIO salsas, soaps, cutting boards, and coffee mugs! They’ve got accessories for the Sooner folks and the Cowpokes! They even have a room dedicated to Oklahoma-themed Christmas ornaments! It was so hard for me to not spend my entire life savings in this store. Its located downtown in the old Santa Fe train station and is a definite must-see!

  1. If you have girls ages 2-13 you should check out Oklahoma City company Girl-a-Tude. It’s a monthly box focused on positive self image for developing girls. Nothing in the box is body image related, it’s all about self-confidence. Pretty cool.
