Start your mornings off right with these stress-management tips and techniques:

  • Remove physical distractions: Alleviate anxiety and stress by removing physical distractions like red, irritated eyes with a few drops of VISINE® Original Redness Relief’s fast-acting formula which quickly soothes and refreshes eyes. VISINE® Original Redness Relief provides relief in seconds so you can get back to normal fast.
  • Take the path of least resistance: Eliminate unnecessary stress by identifying your stressors and finding solutions that keep you calm, like taking the slightly-longer but less-traveled route to work because traffic makes you tense or turning off the morning news because it makes you anxious.
  • Slow down and focus on being present: Take five minutes after brushing your teeth or while waiting for your coffee to brew and focus on your breathing, this will counter the effects of stress by slowing your heart rate and helping you to focus.
  • Exercise regularly: In addition to boosting your energy, mood and immune system, exercise keeps you mentally focused and reduces the overall stress in your life.
  • Reward yourself: Give yourself something to look forward to when the stress starts creeping in by planning leisure activities into your daily schedule.
  • Don’t forget to smile: Smiling is a great tool against stress and nervousness, smiling will make you happier and others around you happy as well.
  • Learn to say “no”: You don’t need to join every group or volunteer for every committee, decide what is truly important to you and your family and make that a priority.
  • Make time for yourself: You aren’t going to be able to keep up with work or your family if you don’t take care of yourself, make scheduling “me” time a priority even if it is only 15-20 minutes a day.

  1. Someone to do everyone’s hair! It takes so much time to try to fix it so it looks nice. (And maybe they can get the kids dressed, too.)
