The Beauty of Blo.

Blo on the Classen Curve

If you need to take a moment to recover from all the holiday craziness, I think I have the perfect idea for you: an appointment at Blo. Have you heard of this place yet? It’s a Blowout Bar in which you get your hair just styled, not cut or colored. The upscale boutique is located in the Classen Curve of OKC, and I can attest to their works because I got my hair done there a little while ago.

Pretty hair from any view!

Even though they’ve only been open a few months, their stylists are top notch and well known throughout the metro. You’ve seen their work in various photo shoots, magazines and runway shows. They even have an exciting exclusive ad coming out in January in Brides of Oklahoma. They were also recently picked to be the official sponsor of the Miss Oklahoma and Miss Teen Oklahoma pageants.

Some of the wonderful and talented ladies at Blo.

With such a pedigree you’d think they’d be too expensive, but I think their prices are very affordable especially if it’s just for a special occasion or a day of pampering! They offer less expensive options for touch ups or braiding services. You can also buy package deals for a discounted rate. To see their prices and membership deals check out their website. They also post special deals on their Facebook Page and feature various looks on their Instagram. If you’ve got a special event or date night coming up, then treat yourself to some pampering to get glammed up!

Scalp massage, my fav!

Even their products are top of the line! They use Kevin Murphy products which are organic, cruelty free, made from mostly recycled materials, and smell AMAZING! Seriously, I couldn’t stop smelling my hair. I even got comments from others on how good my hair smelled when I walked by. (Which makes me wonder what it usually smells like?!) They also used some Moroccan Oil on my hair. Super soft and shiny!

They have a look book online and in the salon that you can choose different styles from. I would love to try out all the gorgeous looks.

The weekdays are pretty tame in the salon so if you wake up feeling like a hot mess you can probably get a walk-in appointment pretty easily. However, on the weekends they host many bridal parties, birthdays, and mother/daughter dates. Definitely schedule an appointment if you want a weekend session!  Such a fun place for any girly event! They do offer make-up services there as well and host a variety of stylists from around the metro on Saturdays.

Did you think I’d forget about my before and after?

From drab to fab!

As far as my special event went….well it was just coming back to play with these kiddos…but I think they appreciated my glamorous look while I wiped noses and made peanut butter sandwiches!DSC_0777

My hair did stay pretty for a few days and I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend them to all of you!

Have you been to Blo?  What intrigues you most about this dry-bar?
