For me, every holiday is an excuse to break out the craft supplies and make some memories! And, St. Patrick’s day is no different. To help you get in the spirit, I’m excited to share three easy, fun craft projects for all ages.
For all three projects, you’ll need:
- Fruit Loops (or a similar cereal)
- Yarn
- Paper
- Straw (optional)
- Scissors
- Pens/Markers
- Glue sticks
- Paper plates
- Construction paper (green, red, gold)
- Rainbow sprinkles
- Coloring page
Shamrock Necklaces
Instructions:
- Cut a piece of paper into a shamrock shape and write your child’s name on it
- Cut a piece of yarn a few inches longer than you need for a necklace
- If you choose to use the optional straw-as-a-needle method, cut the straw at an angle and thread it through the yarn
- Thread the cereal through the yarn, stopping halfway to thread the shamrock name tag on
- Finish adding the cereal
- Tie in the back
Leprechaun Masks
Instructions:
- Cut the center out of a paper plate
- Cut green construction paper into the shape of a hat
- Add a gold piece of paper to make the buckle
- Glue the hat onto the paper plate
- Cut strips of red paper to form a beard, and glue onto the bottom of the plate
- Hold up to your face and enjoy!
Rainbow Art
Instructions:
- Download a coloring page (there are plenty of options online!)
- Add glue to the paper. If you use liquid glue, use a Q-tip to spread it around
- Add sprinkles, cereal, or any other spare parts
- Allow to dry
