Mommy Foodie Fair {Recap}

After weeks of planning and joining up with Dishcrawl and City Moms Blog, we joined forces with VZD’s on Western Avenue to host a first ever Mommy Foodie Fair!  Not only did we in OKC  host this event, but our sister sites across the country were also having a Moms Night Out too! Nervous excitement was already brimming in the building as we were setting up.

The ladies were greeted in the atrium, handed the swag bags and directed inside to grab a drink and peruse the goods.  Once in the club, the ladies were welcome to try and take free samples of Beanfields, NewTree, Harvest Snapea Crisps, Divine Chocolate Bars, Skinny Pop, Amoretti mocktails and Glam Media Foodie Books.

We also had local vendors present at this event.  42nd Street Candy Company provided some sweet treats {beer-flavored jelly beans and chocolates} and showed us some great gift sets for Mother’s Day, in addition to bags of candy to take home.

Fibi & Clo reps were a hit with the shoe shopping they made available to the ladies.  Beautiful assortment of sandals to choose from that are classy and comfortable!

Viva La Pies brought two delicious types of pies – the Coconut Custard and the Key Lime.  Samples were flying off the table and I might have seen someone on our team lick the pie plate. 😉

You could not miss the Swiss OKC table!  You were brought in by your senses as you smelled the oils wafting through the air.  Kini brought anti-stress treatments and was a huge hit with the skin care products.

For those who were able to stay late, live music went on soon after we wrapped up to add an extra bit of fun to the evening.

A huge thank you to everyone that came out to our first Mommy Foodie Fair. While things don’t always go as we plan, we still want to thank you all for supporting Oklahoma City Moms Blog and coming to a type of event we’ve never tried before.  We appreciate those that took Dishcrawl’s event survey and are using your feedback to make our next event even better! Our promise moving forward is to work hard in keeping ticket prices down and food options up! Keep your ears and eyes open for the next OKCMB event and we look forward to seeing YOU there!
