Last, by certainly not least, we have these two amazing women to introduce you to! We hope you have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the new women that are joining us on OKCMB’s writing team!
Samantha
Samantha is a farmers wife, mother to one daughter , and part time photographer. She works full time as a food safety inspector for the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture). Samantha grew up in Southern Oklahoma, but moved to the farming community of Minco in 2013, upon graduation from Oklahoma State University, where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science. She met her husband Brandon through mutual friends, who also attended OSU, pretty much love at first sight and her happily ever after. Samantha has 4 dogs, known as her “fur-children.” She enjoys spending time with all the animals and working on the farm with her husband and daughter. You can see some of her family’s lifestyle on the farm on her photography website.
Cassie from Good Witch
I’m an only child.
Stacy
Stacy grew up in Minnesota, but spent the next several years of her life traversing the globe, temporarily setting down roots anywhere and everywhere. Stacy is extremely passionate about the world of adoption and foster care, having spent a year in Uganda adopting her oldest daughter in 2008. Stacy married her husband Jesse in 2011, and they moved to Oklahoma City to grow their family. After a brief hiatus in Minnesota, Stacy and her beloved family of five returned to Oklahoma City in June of 2017. They are thrilled to be back “home” where sweet tea flows like water and they can fully embrace saying “Y’all”.
Stacy obtained a Master’s degree in child psychology in 2007, but currently uses it only on her own children! A stay-at-home mama since Baby #3 was born, Stacy has stayed busy keeping her children alive and relatively entertained. She loves her little crazy crew fiercely and is enjoying returning to all of their favorite local haunts.
When she’s not chasing her kiddos, Stacy is likely traveling or daydreaming about traveling. She also enjoys coffee shops, copious amounts of “cop drama” shows, and perusing pinterest for ideas that have little chance of ever getting done. But they’re good to have. Just in case.
I would probably want them to know that I love making connections with people and hearing their stories. However, I am also an introvert and so it might not seem like it 🙂 I love small group settings!
That’s a wrap for our new contributors for 2017! Check back very soon to see their first posts!
