Meet Anna

New ContributorsAnna is an Oklahoma transplant originally from Washington state.  While here for college she fell in love with OKC, as well as her husband Mike.  They have been married for 6 years and have 2 hilarious children- Bauer (3) and Davee (1).  Anna enjoys hairstyling, working out, indoor soccer, Netflix marathons, and eating terrible things while her kids are asleep.  Anna adores several parts of the metro but especially The Village, where she calls home, and the Mid-town area.

1. What is the most random thing in your purse right now?

I’m not really a purse girl, I usually just carry a wallet large enough to hold my phone inside.  This usually results in a lot of juggling… I should probably just carry a purse.

2. Where would you vacation if it could be anywhere in the world?

Greece!  Sometimes I watch Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants just to see it.

3. Favorite thing to do with children in the OKC Metro?

We love the Zoo, Myriad Gardens, and the Wiggle Out Loud Festival.  Our favorite place to eat together is Waffle Champion.  YUMMM!

4. Favorite thing to do withOUT children in the OKC Metro

The SandRidge Sky Trail- SO FUN!

Meet Krista

New ContributorsMy husband, Jason, and I met at church after we had already graduated from college and started on our own career paths.  We were married in 2009 and settled down in Edmond, OK.  I am a mommy to our son, Gavin, and daughter, Greta.  THey are crazy toddlers that keep me on my toes all the time! By day, I am an oil & gas accountant. By night, I’m a self-proclaimed DIY-er and I am constantly changing things at my house. My husband and kids are good sports about this and usually roll with it when I up and change something without warning. I am excited to share some projects with you as well as some ideas and inspiration.

1. What is the most random thing in your purse right now?

I have a slinky in my purse courtesy of my three year old son. I also found a toy car in the pocket of my pants when I got to work the other day. I don’t know how he managed to do that!

2. Where would you vacation if it could be anywhere in the world?

I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to a few cool international locations. However, I’ve never spent time in England (other than a 6 hour layover at the London airport a few years ago). My husband and I have been trying to plan a trip out there to see a Liverpool game. Each time we get close to booking the trip something happens that makes us decide to postpone. Hopefully we’ll make that trip happen soon!

3. Favorite thing to do with children in the OKC Metro?

We love going to the OKC zoo!  My kids ask to go all the time.  They’ve memorized our path around the zoo and lead us to all their favorite animals.

4. Favorite thing to do withOUT children in the OKC Metro

I get emails for the upcoming Civic Center events and we always try to get tickets if something good is coming. We’ve been to see several comedians and musicals.  If we’re able, we like to book a hotel downtown and make a weekend of it! It’s fun to “get away” even if we’re not actually leaving the city.

Welcome, Ladies!
