I’m far from a sugar-free momma. However, like many parents, we try to manage the amount of sugary treats in which we let our little one indulge. When holidays roll around it can be especially difficult, so we looked for a Valentine that would be fun, yet sugar free. These are so easy and manage to use up something every mom with kids has – old crayons.
First, have your child remove all the paper from your old crayons.
With a large knife, rough chop them into small pieces and mix up the pieces. Place them in the mold making sure you’ve got a good variety of colors in each mold. Place them in a 200 degree oven for 20 minutes or until all the chucks have melted.
When all the chunks have melted, pull the molds out of the oven and allow the crayons to cool completely before popping them out.
All that is left is attaching them to your Valentine’s card. We used washi tape to decorate some basic white cards and finished them off with clever sayings that we found on Pinterest.
What are you planning to do for your kid’s Valentine’s this year?
