Summer is coming very quickly and the kids will want to know the plan!  Here is a comprehensive list of the summer camps in and around the Oklahoma City Metro.  We hope this will be a huge help to you in planning the upcoming weeks for a fun and stress-free summer!

Little Artists Camp:
Preschoolers (ages 3-6) create paintings, collages, prints, 3-D art and perform as they rotate among 4 teachers in a friendly environment. (all campers must be potty-trained.)
Dates: June 16, 17, 18 – July 7, 8, 9 – August 11, 12, 13 from 10am-12pm or 1:00-3:00pm

Create Escape Camp: Enjoy a week filled with creative workshops in the visual and performing arts…drawing, painting, mixed media, theatre and more. Each hour, students (1st – 6th (grade entering in fall)) will rotate in groups from one art form to another. Four rotations each day. Camp t-shirt will be given to all campers. Campers need to bring a lunch each day. 9:30-2:00 on

Theatre Escape Camp: Professional theatre arts teachers and performers work hands-on with students (3rd – 8th) to hone their skills in improvisation, stage movement, makeup, miming, magic and much more. Camp t-shirt will be given to all campers and a snack provided each day.
Dates: July 13 – 17 from 12:30-5:30pm 
Cost: $220

Art Escape Camp: A camp designed for kids (1st – 6th (grade entering in fall)) who enjoy the visual arts: drawing, painting, clay, mixed media and much more. Each camper will explore 4 rotations each day with different FAI teachers. Campers receive a t-shirt. Please bring a sack lunch. Snack and drink will be provided.
Dates: July 20 – 24, July 27 – 31, August 3 – 7 from 9:30am-2:00pm

Camp Information: Summer sport camp is for boys and girls, ages 6-12 years old.

All sport camps are focused on teaching basic fundamentals and building the skills and confidence of young athletes in a fun and safe environment.

Campers enrolled in morning and afternoon camps will have a supervised lunch from 12pm–1pm. Campers may bring their own lunch or purchase a lunch ticket from the cafeteria for $5.25/day.

Before Care is offered for parents to allow early drop-offs prior to the 7:45am camp drop off time. This service is offered at a minimal charge of $10.00 per week. Campers must be registered for before care services  on the Friday prior to the Monday start date of camp. OCCC will not be responsible for children dropped off prior to 7:00 AM.

Before Care: 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM/$10.00

Sport camp and Before Care registration and payment must be made by 5:00pm the Friday prior to the start date of camp.

Camp Information: Ages 5-13 – A Camp for Horse Lovers! Camp Cadence is the best horse camp in the OKC Metro area and provides a wonderful opportunity for kids to learn about horses in a family-friendly and safe environment.  There is no experience necessary.
Our camps are geared for both beginner and intermediate riders and are an excellent introduction into the world of horses and also a wonderful supplement to riding instruction.  Your child will love the camardarie of spending time with new friends learning all sorts of fun & exciting things about horses.

Camp Information: An academic enrichment camp featuring courses taught by OSSM’s nationally-renowned faculty in just about every subject. This camp is geared for students who have completed 8th – 11th grades.

Camp Information: Oklahoma Children’s Theatre STORY STARS Summer Camp is from May 26-August 14, weekly and have half-day camps for 3 & 4 year olds, full-day camps for 5-13 year olds. Join us on the journey as we spin a new tale through an exciting story all about our campers!  Each week this summer will be a chapter from the pages of Story Stars—a new adventure story where our campers are the characters.  Each week we features a different theme for campers to devise performances, dust off their showmanship skills, practice performance techniques through games and activities, and learn performing arts basics in a dynamic atmosphere of creativity and imagination.  Everyone can be the star when audiences are wowed by a showcase of one-of-a-kind Friday performances in theatre, magic, dance, film, and much more.

Camp Information: Let your young athlete swim, bike and run their way into summer fun with the OKC Parks & Recreation Department’s Kidathalon on Saturday, May 30. For all levels, the KIDATHLON provides plenty of challenge for ages 5-14. Prizes for each age group.  Each participant must bring their own bike, helmet and wear close-toed shoes. Event sign-in starts at 7:00 a.m.  First start at 7:30 a.m.
Date: Saturday, May 30
Cost: $30 per child.

Afterwards, stick around for our FREE Summer Kick-Off Festival and event. 

JUNIOR MASTER GARDENER DAY CAMP

Camp Information: Introduce your young sprout (ages 7-11) to gardening fun with the Will Rogers Gardens’ Junior Master Gardener Day Camp.

  • Plant a container garden
  • Create gardening crafts
  • Learn basic garden design
  • Discover the world of insects

Snacks provided. Campers must bring brown bag lunch and drink.

Dates: June 1-5  and June 22-26 (Monday – Friday) from  8:30 – 5:30 p.m.

PERFORMING ARTS DAY CAMP

Camp Information: Your young star will shine at the Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation Department’s annual Performing Arts Day Camp. Camp teaches songs, dance, stage acting, stagecraft and costuming and ends with a family-friendly musical performance. Snacks provided. Immunization records required.

For ages 6-17, Monday-Friday
Three sessions available:

June 29-July 10   “Minstrel’s Mayhem”
July 13-24  “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”

Camp Information: The Sam Noble Museum offers a variety of summer discovery-based programs, offered from June through July, for children ages 4 to 14. These programs allow participants to experience science first-hand through outdoor field investigations and real museum specimens.
Dates: Program dates vary June through July.
Cost: Range is $20-$70, depending on program


OCU Jr. High Music Theater Program

Camp Information: The Junior High Music Theater Program draws students from all over the nation. It is a two-week residential program specifically designed for students who have an interest in the arts and want to cultivate their artistic talents. Our acclaimed program provides students with an exciting introduction to musical theater. Students will explore the foundations of musical theater through acting, singing and dancing under the guidance of our talented, caring and experienced staff. Students will be in rehearsals for the fully staged musical production for most of their day, but will also enjoy classes in dance, acting, and special topics related to music theater.  All students will perform in the fully-staged musical of Legally Blonde, Jr. at the end of the two weeks!

Dates: June 27- July 11 for students currently in grades 5-8
Cost: $2,500 (includes room & board)

Kidz Yoga Summer Kamp

Camp Information: A nourishing experience that will bring out the STAR in every child~ Physically, Mentally and Emotionally. Give your child the gift of yoga this summer during JUNE and JULY. Two Age Groups: Ages 3 to 7 with the Yoga Fairy – Every Tuesday and Thursday 2pm to 3pm and Ages 8 to 12 Every Wednesday and Friday 2pm to 3pm at Tiffany’s OKC Studio.

Cost Per Age Group Per Child: $270 for all 18 classes. $20 Drop In
Deadlines to Sign Up for Early Bird: $216 for all 18 classes. Must be paid in FULL by May 18th.


Camp DaKaNi

Camp Information: Campers ages 5- 13 years old are welcome at Camp DaKaNi where groups will be assigned to small groups of similar age ranges.  Camping activities include: zipline, challenge course, rock climbing, fishing, arts and crafts and more! Camp hours are 9:00am to 3:30pm, with extended care times available. Lunches are provided. Read more in their Camp Brochure.


Upstage Theatre

Camp Information: Calling all campers who love to sing, act, and dance! Join us this summer for a musical version of the hit movie, “Frozen”! Campers will learn warm-ups, play theatre and improv games, and work on becoming triple-threats while creating a musical with songs, scenes, and choreography. There will be auditions the first day of the camp to place everyone into the show. Everyone will have a featured part in the musical. The cost of the camp covers materials & Camp T-Shirt. There will be a performance of the musical on the last day of the camp (July 10th or the 17th) at 3:00pm. Some costume pieces will be provided but we may ask for you to provide some pieces.

Abrakadoodle

Camp Information: Art camp that includes art lessons, music, games, crafts and special activities for kids ages 3-12. Theme-based camps are also available. Register here for more information regarding dates and cost.


Riversport Camps

Camp Information: Riversport offers camps to kids that introduce rowing, paddling, and basic water sports. Two options of camps: Rowing Camps (ages 11-19) and Adventure Camps (ages 8-16).


Fairfax Golf Club

Camp Information: At the Big Break Kids Camp, campers will work on all areas of golfing from full shots to etiquette and rules.  There will be a Big Break competition all week long based on points to cash in for prizes! There are 5 sessions available starting June 2 and ending in August.


Thunder Youth Basketball Camp 

Camp Information: Shoot some hoops this summer with a one to five day camp for kids ages 5 to 16! This summer, the Thunder Youth is offering Flex Camp, so you can work it around your schedule, but still get all the benefits of the Basketball Camp. *Thunder players and coaches may visit as their schedules allow, but no appearances are guaranteed.*


Oklahoma City Zoo

Camp Information: If your child is wanting a little adventure, then check out the Oklahoma City Zoo camps. Summer camps meet Tuesday – Friday, from 8:30am-12:30pm, with a snack provided. Bring your own lunch.  Advance registration, payment and birth certificate are required.

Cost:
 $110 week/child (member), $130 week/child (non-member)


YMCA

Camp Information: The Y is a great place to enroll your child to learn about healthy habits and staying active. Check your local branch for more information, but most YMCA’s offer week to week camps or an entire summer program.


Keystone Adventure School and Farm

Camp Information: Their 16-acre campus is filled with lots of farm animals, large outdoor play spaces, a pond, a creek, and state of the art technology. The camps start as young as 3 years old up to entering 5th grade. Check their website for more on their individual programs and cost for each.


Orr Family Farm

Camp Information: Orr Family Farm is closed during July and August, but they still have two four-day summer camps that will have your kindergartener through sixth grader excited for educational fun! Call (405) 799-3276 for more info.


Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma

Camp Information: From two camps to choose from, you can get away from it all and enjoy the great outdoors by hiking, learning outdoor skills and canoeing across the river!  Get their camp brochure to get all information.


Jewish Federation of OKC

Camp Information: Located at Temple B’nai, Camp Chaverim welcomes ALL kids ages 2 through those entering 9th grade. This camp encourages team spirit, cooperation, peace, respect, kindness, personal growth, lots of friendship and fun! Before and After camp is also available for an additional fee.

City of Moore

Camp Information: Summer Sport Camps for kids ages 7 to 18 years for boys and girls.  Camp takes place Monday – Friday, from 9am to noon.  Camps include golf, basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball and cheerleading.

Cost: $75.00
Registration: March 16th – July 25th


City of Edmond

Camp Information: City of Edmond provides lots of options during the summer and year round.  Check out their website for more information for the specific age of your child!


City of Norman
