Oklahoma City is filled with great restaurants, food trucks, and spots to grab a bite to eat. When you want something sweet, Oklahoma City businesses are ready and able to help you satisfy your sweet tooth.
Here are 5 ways to satisfy your sweet tooth in NW OKC.
Pie Junkie
This local pie shop is a little slice of heaven. USA Today recently named Pie Junkie as 1 of the 10 Great Places to Get a Slice of Pie. Every pie they offer is delicious! Their Bird Dog Buttermilk pie, shown above, is a buttermilk pie made with Blackberry Whiskey. It’s my absolute favorite! Try it for yourself and see why! Find it in the Plaza District at 1711 NW 16th St, OKC.
Orange Leaf Yogurt
This self-serve frozen yogurt place is fun for all ages. Their wide selection of flavors and the endless topping bar is a hit, especially with kids. My staple here is the Dairy Free Pineapple Yogurt. It reminds me of a Disney Dole Whip, a wonderful pineapple delight. My kids, on the other hand, love to mix it up with a blend of flavors and toppings. There are three metro locations to help you customize to your heart’s content.
All About Cha
Gather your friends or family and head to this coffee and tea house! Stop in and try any one of their decadent desserts. I love to stop in for this cream horn, a light pastry filled with fresh cream, and a flower tea. You can find them in Edmond (3272 S. Broadway), or in OKC (7300 N Western or 13925 N. May)
Roxy’s Ice Cream
Roxy’s started off as a food truck serving up some of the best hand dipped ice cream around. They have recently opened up a brick and mortar store in the Plaza District (1732 NW 16th St). You will love their unique ice cream flavors and tasty ice cream sandwiches. Be sure to try the Cookie Monster sandwich, shown above, or their Salted Caramel ice cream, my personal favorite.
Teapioca Lounge
Teapioca is my favorite place to grab a Bubble Tea, an iced tea/cold drink containing sweet black balls or “pearls” made from tapioca. My favorite is the Thai Tea with Teapioca pearls, shown above. My kids are in love with their fruit blends (similar to a slush) and cream blends like the Cookies and Creme. This is a great place to stop in for a drink. You can find Teapioca at 1101 NW 23rd St.
These are my 5 favorites places in NW OKC to satisfy my sweet tooth. Whether you want dessert, a drink, or a frozen treat, there is something on this list that you will LOVE indulging in. Treat yourself to one of them today!
